Undoukai

Undoukai 2016: Tuesday, September 27
As is Clarendon tradition, we are busy planning our first site-wide fun day at Clarendon: Undoukai “Sports & Field Day.”

Quick Notes about Undoukai:

  • Undoukai is a "sports & field day" celebration in the Japanese tradition enjoyed by all Clarendon students—Second Community and JBBP alike.
  • The lighthearted competition is a fun bonding event for each classroom, giving our children a chance to work together in relay races or dressing up their teacher in a silly costume.
  • Though Undoukai is an all day event, volunteer slots are less than an hour-long commitment.
  • Volunteers do not need to know anything about Undoukai, Japan, or really much anything else. This is a very relaxed event and we just need parents who are willing to do a lot of laughing, cheering, and helping your children line up before their relays.
  • Free, delicious lunch is provided for all who volunteer in the numerous roles we need filled! It's worth helping just for the lunch!
  • We need many volunteers and donations—most importantly, four (4) chaperones from each classroom.
