About the Curriculum

When it comes to curriculum, JBBP provides the basics and beyond. Subjects in the core JBBP curriculum include reading, math, science, social studies, language arts, physical education, art, music, and multicultural studies. The JBBP curriculum exceeds requirements established by the state of California and the San Francisco Unified School District.

Lessons are in English. Japanese-speaking children benefit from assistance in their native language as they master English skills. English-speaking children benefit from exposure to Japanese reading, writing, and conversation. Japanese art and music activities enliven the lessons.
